It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Sharon Springs Central School's Sharing & Caring Committee will host its annual chicken & biscuits dinner Thursday, 5-6:30pm in the old gym.
Eat in or take out.
All proceeds assist local families with food baskets and winter clothing.
There will be live music and also a visit from Santa.

This Saturday, the Toys for Tots train, sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts and Northeast Regional Amtrak will be in Cobleskill from 3-4pm at the tracks near the Cobleskill Firehouse.

Then, on Sunday, the third annual Breakfast with Santa, hosted by the Cobleskill Rotary Club, will be held in the Cobleskill-Richmondville High School Cafeteria.
Santa's Kitchen will be open from 8:30am-noon and Santa and friends will arrive at 9:30am.
All children will get a free photo with Santa. There will be a reading center and crafts for the kids and lottery drawings for gifts for everyone.
There is an admission charge with proceeds going to Schoharie County children's programs.

On Wednesday, December 9, from 4:30-7pm in the cafeteria, Radez Elementary will host its annual "Helping Hands-Caring Hearts" spaghetti supper.
Children under 3 are free; there will also be a silent auction for prizes and services.
Proceeds will go toward helping local families in need as well as to local food pantries.

On Saturday, the 12th, the Carlisle Fire Department and the Carlisle Presbyterian Church will hold a holiday party for all residents, from 2-5pm at the Carlisle Town Hall on Crommie Road.
There will be crafts, cookies, hot chocolate and a visit from Santa as well as a tree lighting.

Sunday, December 13, there will be a holiday tree lighting at the Richmondville Firehouse from 4-6pm, with face painting, arts and crafts, music and a story, a visit from Santa, along with photos; and chili, cookies, and hot chocolate.

Judging will take place on Friday, December 11, starting at 6pm.
Both the tree lighting fun and house decorating contest are free.
